We already had an in-depth preview of the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe, but we got a few more details at the 2023 LA Auto Show. We still don’t know pricing or complete trim information, but we do have an on-sale date for the U.S. and confirmation of the XRT model.

Here’s what we know to date.
Still only two powertrains confirmed
Though there are four Santa Fe powertrains globally, the U.S. is only slotted to two of them: a turbo and a hybrid. The standard powertrain will be the 2.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that will deliver 277 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque. The hybrid will be equipped with a 1.6-liter turbo, and there will be a combined power output of 232 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque.
In dealers March 2024, hybrid to follow
We knew back in August that the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe would hit dealers in early 2024. Now we know specifically that Hyundai is targeting the end of Q1 for dealer deliveries. We should see the non-hybrid models in March, with the hybrid following “in spring.” We don’t have anything more specific than that, which means it could hit our shores anywhere from April to June.
2024 Hyundai Santa Fe XRT details
While we saw an XRT Concept at the preview, we didn’t get official confirmation it would go into production until this week. Details are still few with this model, but we do know it will get 30-inch all-terrain tires, a 1.5-inch lift and a 4,500-pound max towing capacity. It’ll be differentiated design-wise with black accents on the grille, roof rack and cladding.
The bottom line
There’s still a lot we don’t know about the 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe. A lot. Pricing will be announced closer to the on-sale date, and we’ll likely get trims and a more detailed spec sheet in January or February.
