Whether you are an avid RV enthusiast or an occasional weekend warrior, you most likely know the brand Airstream. Its line of iconic riveted aluminum travel trailers has set the standard in the towable RV space, and its collaboration with Stetson and Four Sixes Ranch sets a new standard in western-themed RVs, perfect to tow behind your Ram 2500 Longhorn or Sierra 2500HD Denali Ultimate.

Three Iconic Brands, One Western-themed RV

Airstream is an icon of the travel trailer industry, dating back to 1931 when Wally Byam opened the first Airstream factory in California. The brand is now regarded as the leader in the travel trailer industry for its build quality and attention to detail.

Founded in 1865, Stetson is a name synonymous with western hats, creating the original “Boss of the Plains” cowboy hat. According to the brand’s website, Stetson has “a strong appreciation for objects that are made well and products that get better with age.”

Since 1870, Four Sixes Ranch has become one of “the most storied businesses in Texas history” with the legendary panhandle location responsible for angus cattle, quarter horses, and stallions. The ranch’s horses are consistently ranked among the best in the breed.

When three companies of this caliber collaborate, the end product is something owners are sure to be proud of and will stand the test of time, just like the brands that came together to produce it.

Specs

The Airstream Stetson + 6666 Special Edition Travel Trailer is a 27-foot, double-axle, riveted aluminum travel trailer. Clocking in with a gross vehicle weight rating of 7,600 lbs. and a 900 lb. tongue weight, this travel trailer has the capacity to sleep 4, has on-board power via a 2.5 kWh battery and standard 300W solar charging system, and a 30,000 BTU ducted furnace to keep things toasty this time of year.

A 39-gallon freshwater tank should give owners all the water they need for a weekend away or an extended stay out on the range. Corresponding 39-gallon grey and wastewater tanks should ensure owners won’t have to worry about making an unplanned trip to the waste station. A tankless hot water setup makes washing dishes or taking a shower a much more enjoyable experience.

Pricing starts at $169,900 with only two configurations: front bedroom with either a queen or two twin beds, and rear kitchen and dining table with a rear opening hatch and sliding screen for an open-air experience.

Quality You Can’t Fake

Airstream, Stetson, and Four Sixes are three brands known for their uncompromising quality and attention to detail. The Airstream Stetson + 666 Special Edition Travel Trailer is exactly the product one would expect from such a collaboration. Genuine semi-aniline leather seating, a farmhouse-style hammered copper front-apron sink, and a black-stained oak dinette table are not features you see in a typical family travel trailer.

Further details include oil-rubbed bronze fixtures, custom woven window coverings, and a removable hat rack system capable of perfectly storing three Stetson hats is further proof that this is a product built to last. Outside, a custom awning welcomes owners home with further Stetson and 6666 branding.

According to Airstream, “this three-brand collaboration represents a history of honest authenticity – there’s no shortcut to high-quality.” The cowboys of Four Sixes Ranch produce the finest quarter horses in the country, while Stetson produces hats and western wear with an attention to detail, making its products invaluable. Airstream has been a symbol of travel freedom for nearly 100 years.

Who Is This For

Airstream is leaning into the western-themed space much like the Big 3 have with their luxury western-themed pickup trucks. The typical buyer would most likely own a King Ranch Ford F-250 Super Duty, Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD High Country, or Ram 2500 Limited Longhorn. Even Toyota offers the 1794 Edition on its Tundra and Sequoia models, with that trim’s name paying homage to the ranch, which is now the production facility of those two Texas-made products.

What this Means

This Stetson + 6666 Special Edition Travel Trailer is the first in a series of collaborations between Airstream and legendary brands from across the globe. Expect more special editions in the future focusing on high-end décor, appliances, and design.

If they don't give you one to long term test, they are doing it wrong.
