New trucks get me excited about driving. Whenever I have one to use for a week, I try to find something fun to do with it around the farm. But I was excited about the 2022 Toyota Tundra 1794 i-FORCE Max for different reasons. You see, the Tundra has long been a favorite of ours, but it had not been updated in a very long time, and the fuel economy, or lack thereof, was just out of the question for us. So, I wanted to experience the 2022 Tundra, specifically the hybrid version.
Country plush upgrades
I’m really more of a mid-range package girl myself. I usually choose cloth over leather, and I don’t mind a smaller infotainment screen if it means I get tactile knobs and buttons for things like climate controls. But if I were shopping for something a little more luxe, the 1794 edition of the Tundra would be my choice. I love the deep brown color with the wood-grain accents and just how comfortable the seats are. I’m also a huge fan of the window shades in the backseat and that power step under the bumper. Where have these things been all my life?
2022 Tundra i-FORCE Max
Yes, this is the hybrid Tundra! I was so excited to finally see Toyota offering a more efficient engine. While the fuel economy doesn’t match some of the other light-duty hybrid trucks, it is an improvement over previous Tundras, and it gives this truck a crazy amount of torque, which makes it a pleasure to drive and a beast for towing.
