The Chevy Silverado 1500 RST Select Special Edition is a double cab truck that comes in either 2WD or 4WD.
Under the hood is the 2.7-liter inline 4-cylinder TurboMax engine. This isn’t a slouch with 430 pound-feet of torque, 310 horsepower, 6.8 second 0-60 MPH and returns 18/21/19 MPG city/highway/combined for 4WD models.

What else is new for 2026 Chevy Silverado 1500?
As we covered back in May, 2025, the 2026 Silverado 1500 gets a variety of changes, including two new paint colors White Sands and Polar White TriCoat.
There is also a new aggressive exhaust calibration for the 6.2-liter V-8 equipped with the dual-mode exhaust. This should sound more assertive and louder than the prior model.
Additionally, Super Cruise, now includes lane-centering functionality on unmapped roads with visible lane markings. This system is available only on the High Country trim.
Additionally, the RealTree Appearance package has been enhanced, and the ZR2 offers more standard features. Combined with additional accessories, such as a hardtop, the model offers versatile options for the future.
Our take
These are small changes for the 2026 Silverado 1500 ahead of a redesign coming for the 2027 Chevy Silverado 1500. That redesign should see significant changes including new V-8 engines.
