The 2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 will get a few new colors, the Realtree appearance package is dealer installed, a new exhaust and a change for the Super Cruise system.
2026 Chevy Silverado 1500 exterior colors and new feature
For the 2026 model year, there will be two new paint colors: White Sands and Polar White TriCoat. The White Sands color won’t be available on lower trims like the 1WT, 1LT, 2L and 2LT. Photos of trucks with these colors hasn’t been released yet.
There is also a new aggressive exhaust calibration for the 6.2-liter V-8 equipped with the dual-mode exhaust. This should sound more assertive and louder than the prior model.
Additionally, Super Cruise, now includes lane-centering functionality on unmapped roads with visible lane markings. This system is available only on the High Country trim.
Discontinued Features
Several options are being phased out for 2026. Among them:
- Iridescent Pearl TriCoat and Slate Gray Metallic are no longer available.
- The Realtree Special Edition (a $2,470 package previously tied to the Custom Trail Boss Crew Cab Short Bed 4WD with a 5.3L V8) has been retired and is replaced with a new Realtree Appearance Package.
- Removable carpet floor liners, both front and rear, have been discontinued.
ZR2 Gets More Standard Gear
Chevy’s off-road-ready ZR2 trim now includes the Technology Package and Multi-Flex Tailgate as standard features, bolstering its value and likely pushing the starting price closer to $75,000. The Power Up/Down Tailgate remains optional, while the ZR2 Bison Edition and other hardcore off-road packages continue as available upgrades.
Realtree Appearance Package
Replacing the discontinued Special Edition, the dealer-installed Realtree Appearance Package features:
- Realtree graphics on the hood, tailgate, and bed
- Interior trim accents on the door panels
- Black chrome exhaust tip
- Dark Essentials Package (includes blacked-out badging)
- Black 4-inch round assist steps
- All-weather floor mats (Custom trim only)
- Single exhaust system
This new package is more widely available than its predecessor. It can be ordered on either the Custom or Custom Trail Boss trims with a variety of powertrains, including the TurboMax 2.7L I4, 5.3L V8, or 3.0L I6 Duramax diesel—though it still requires the Crew Cab Short Bed 4WD configuration.
What’s Next?
The 2026 Silverado is mostly a carryover with the above small changes. We have already seen spy photos for the 2027 model driving around with many new changes on the exterior and interior. Expect a debut in the spring of 2026 for a fully redesigned truck.
