During this week’s episode Publisher Tim Esterdahl and Managing Editor Jill Ciminillo spend quite a bit of time discussing the 2023 Chevy Colorado and Esterdahl’s recent first drive of this new midsize truck. Specifically they dug into some of the quirks of the new truck, including the fact Chevrolet has done away with the headlight dial. Instead, the 2023 Chevy Chevy Colorado light controls are now located inside the infotainment screen. Most people agree with Esterdahl about the need for the dial. Ciminillo (surprise!) took a dissenting stance.
Next, Esterdahl and Ciminillo took a look at a recent Automotive News article about Ford’s quality issues, and CEO Jim’s Frustration that he can’t get rid of them. Ciminillo and Esterdahl agree Ford has the coolest lineup right now, but it’s marred by production halts, recalls and quality issues.
The end of the episode is spend discussing Ciminillo’s weekend trip to Sweden to attend the Jaguar Land Rover Ice Academy where she had fun making donuts on the ice and learning how to handle a skid.
Esterdahl and Ciminillo do weekly livestreams on YouTube, which are projected out to Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. In 2023, they are switching to a Monday/Tuesday schedule at 8 p.m. EST, so be sure to subscribe to the YouTube channel and follow them on social media for the upcoming live episode timing and topics. Tim thank you so much for what you do, i really liked your videos on your High Country , so i bought one. It is a brand new 2022 with the 5.3 4×4 with z-71 package. I wanted the Diesel but just couldn’t get the deal i wanted , this truck was a late build date of Januarary 2023. I thought i would bring something to your attention, my truck has the premium Bose sound system, which is what i wanted big deal to me. I have had it for 5 days and realized it does not have HD RADIO , so basically it’s like having FM without the stereo , so disappointing. Have you run into this , it sounds like a chip thing, i am going to call dealer but thought i would ask you first..
Thank You
