While the average tourist and business executive continues to opt for renting a Mercedes in Dubai, police have opted to add a new, super bad-ass SUV to its lineup. And they’re simply named it “Giath.” More than that, Dubai Police claim Giath is “one of the most advanced police vehicles in the world.” It sure looks the part.

It appears to be based upon a Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban. But it’s been heavily modified by Dubai-based auto brand W Motors.
Aside from a ton of exterior changes, W Motors fitted Giath with a ton of advanced technology for tracking suspects.
From looking at how much extra weight they added to this thing, I assume they upped the horsepower of the engine, too.
Regardless, I’d love to see something like that hit the streets in the U.S. in the hands of American law enforcement. I mean, it’s a Chevy after all. Our cops should have the most and best Chevy of them all. Am I right?
