The 2026 Toyota RAV4 debuts with the all new 6th generation PHEV powertrain and Toyota Safety Sense 4.0. This includes Hands-Free Lane Centering, an Emergency Stop System, Enhanced Pre-Collision System, Front Cross-Traffic Alert, Advanced Lane Change Assist, Pedal Misapplication Prevention, and Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

The biggest change for the 2026 Toyota RAV4 is the all-new 6th generation RAV4 available in three different designs across seven grades. 

The designs are Core, Sport, and Rugged. 

The Core design is available in the LE, XLE Premium, and Limited grades. The Sport design is available in SE, XSE, and the new GR SPORT grade. While the Rugged design comes with the Woodland grade.

New Woodland Features

Toyota now changes the Woodland trim for the RAV4 from a package or special edition to a standalone grade within the redesign lineup. 

The 2026 Toyota RAV4 Woodland trim is also available in HEV or PHEV with standard AWD, all-terrain tires, split hammerhead grille, tow hitch receiver, woodland branded all-weather floor and cargo mats.

Fuel Economy

The 2026 RAV4 Hybrid Models have an Improved fuel economy with up to a manufacturer estimated 41 MPG combined rating (FWD Model) also includes 236 net combined system horsepower on AWD models and 226 horsepower on FWD models which is an 11% increase over the prior gas FWD model.

The 2026 Corolla Cross Gas is available in FWD or AWD with up to the manufacturer estimates 32 combined MPG rating.

The most noticeable change is the standard 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster across all trims, which features a new matte finish to reduce glare and a “free-floating” design.  

Infotainment has also leapfrogged previous generations with a standard 10.5-inch touchscreen (up from 8.0 inches) and an available 12.9-inch unit.  This new system is the first in a Toyota to feature 5G connectivity (via AT&T), enabling faster response times, over-the-air updates, and a built-in Drive Recorder that uses the vehicle’s external cameras as a dashcam.  

Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto remain standard.
