Though Jeep isn’t sharing too many details yet, the brand is starting to take the wraps off the 2026 Grand Cherokee with a couple of teaser images. Here what we think we know about the upcoming refresh to the popular midsize SUV.
2026 Grand Cherokee interior
It could just be the angle of the teaser shot, but it looks like the passenger screen in the 2026 Grand Cherokee gets bigger — not only taller but also wider. The primary infotainment screen is also better integrated into the center stack, looking less like a tablet was glued to the dash. The overall effect is more elegant and refined.
The entire center stack looks to be redesigned with volume and tuning knobs added closer to the infotainment screen with more clear separation between audio controls and climate controls, which appear below the screen. There is also more space below the infotainment screen to store things, and it looks like there is a wireless charger in the cubby.
Attention to detail with the metal-rimmed shift dial appears to be spot on for Grand Cherokee.

Exterior changes?
Jeep didn’t share a full shot of the exterior, so all we see is the headlight treatment and a portion of the grille. While they don’t look drastically different, both they both get tightened up and seem to be a shade narrower. The daytime running light now curves around the headlight, mimicking the chrome accent underneath the headlight.
The nose overall looks a tad slimmer, but it’s hard to be sure without seeing the rest of the vehicle.
We assume the tail end of the vehicle will get a similar refresh with new taillights and rear bumper.

Will there be an EV?
Jeep loves Easter eggs, and we think they left us one in the passenger screen. See those ChargePoint destinations? They’re for fast-charge locations, which suggest that this vehicle is full EV and is looking for a charge. While we don’t think the 2026 Grand Cherokee will be EV-only, we think they’ll do something similar to what Dodge is doing with the Charger — there will be an EV-only version as well as gasoline options, which will likely include a PHEV as well.
Our take on the 2026 Grand Cherokee
We don’t think this refresh will be overly dramatic in terms of design, but if our guess is correct and an EV is on the way, that would be a big deal. Auto News seems to confirm our suspicions (subscription required) with a past article that refers to an electric Grand Cherokee arriving in 2027. While the Jeep Wagoneer S is already in play, it doesn’t seem to be doing well, and we’re curious if there’s room for two midsize EVs in the Jeep lineup.
