The 2026 Honda CR-V is refreshed with new interior technology and a new off-road TrailSport Hybrid model, adding more rugged styling and capability.

Joining the other Honda TrailSport models like the Ridgeline TrailSport, the CR-V TrailSport will feature styling aimed at the outdoors-focused customer, beefier tires and will also come with Honda’s two-motor hybrid system.

The unibody SUV gets Continental CrossContact ATR all-terrain tires mounted on Shark Gray 18-inch wheels and standard all-wheel drive.

On the exterior, the front fascia has been restyled with the silver skid-plate protruding onto the front and the rear has a piano black rear spoiler, black door handles and window surrounds plus the orange TrailSport badges on the grille and tailgate.

Inside, the cabin has the TrailSport logo embroidered on the front seat headrests and molded onto the rubber floor mats. There’s also amber ambient lighting in the footwells, overhead console, door handle pocket, door tray and cupholders.

Other standard features include:

  • Heated front seats
  • Heated steering wheel
  • Moonroof
  • 10.2-inch digital instrument display
  • 9-inch color touchscreen
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility
  • Wireless phone charger
  • Power tailgate

Other 2026 Honda CR-V changes

While the Honda CR-V TrailSport leads off the changes, the 7 other trim levels will receive new features as well including a larger touchscreen. Honda says the CR-V now comes with more standard features than ever.

New 2026 Honda CR-V Features:

  • Larger 9-inch HD touchscreen (+2-inches) (Standard)
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto (Standard)
  • Wireless phone charger (Standard)
  • 10.2-inch full-digital instrument display (EX-L, Sport-L, TrailSport, Sport Touring)
  • Enhanced traction management off-road (AWD models)
  • Available Ash Green Metallic paint (TrailSport)
  • “Individual” drive mode (Sport Touring)
  • Google-built in (Sport Touring)

For the top of the line Sport Touring trims, the individual drive mode allows owners to customize the driving experience through individual settings for things like throttle response and steering assist.

The Google-built in feature will allow owners to access Google Assistant, Google Maps and more on the Google Play store with a complimentary 3-year unlimited data plan.

Finally, the all-wheel drive models will gain a better traction management system for speeds below 9 MPH. Honda says “when a difference in the rotation speed of two of CR-V’s wheels is detected (one on each axle), the driving force transmitted to the two most tractive tires, and the braking force applied to the slipping wheels, are both increased significantly.”

Trims and Availability

The Honda CR-V lineup includes three turbocharged-engine trims: LX, EX and EX-L. For the hybrid, trims include: Sport Hybrid, TrailSport Hybrid, Sport-L Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid.

The 6th-generation CR-V is built at three Honda plants in North American including the East Liberty Auto Plant in Ohio, the Indiana Auto Plant, and the Alliston Auto Plant in Canada

It will be on sale later this year.
