The 2024 Honda Ridgeline gets a minor refresh with larger screens, changes to the interior, a new TrailSport model with more off-road capability.

These changes to the unibody pickup truck should make it more competitive in a segment where the Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon have all seen major overhauls.
Technology changes
The 2024 Ridgeline’s cabin has a standard 7-inch digital instrument panel includes user-selectable functions, such as Honda Sensing settings (driver safety assistance) and vehicle information.
All Ridgeline trims now feature a larger 9-inch color touchscreen with faster processing, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, and simplified navigation.
Additionally, the Ridgeline Black Edition features upgraded speakers for an improved audio experience.
Cabin changes
For enhanced comfort and functionality, all 2024 Ridgeline models include a new center console with an integrated armrest and expanded storage.
This console accommodates a full-size tablet, and a larger storage tray in front of the shifter can hold two large smartphones side by side, complete with a Qi-compatible wireless charging pad.
2024 Honda Ridgeline TrailSport
The Ridgeline TrailSport model is engineered for the adventurous weekend excursions with an off-road-tuned suspension, all-terrain tires, and steel underbody protection. The suspension tuning enhances off-road ride quality without compromising on-road comfort according to Honda’s press release.
Standard General Grabber 245/60R18 A/T Sport tires should significantly improve traction in various conditions while maintaining on-road comfort.
The Ridgeline TrailSport model features distinctive exterior elements, such as a rugged grille with a mesh design, black door-pillar and exterior mirror trim, and a black crossbar on the grille. TrailSport’s front skid is painted Pewter Gray, matching the finish of its new 5-spoke, 18-inch wheels. Unique orange TrailSport badges adorn the grille and tailgate.
For customization, TrailSport models offer a new Diffused Sky Blue paint color, orange ambient lighting, orange contrast stitching, embroidered TrailSport logos on the front seat headrests, and all-season rubber floor mats. Ridgeline’s cabin provides ample passenger comfort and rear-seat legroom with a flexible 60/40-split rear seat design.
Trims
The 2024 Honda Ridgeline will be available in four all-wheel drive trim levels: Sport, RTL, the new TrailSport with specialized off-road features, and the top-of-the-line Black Edition.
There is also several optional packages like the HPD Package, known for its unique grille treatment, black fender flares, aggressive wheels, and special graphics.
Also, the truck will have Ridgeline stamped on the bed for all trims.
Standard safety features
The Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies is standard on every Ridgeline, including the new TrailSport.
On Ridgeline, Honda Sensing includes Collision Mitigation Braking System with Forward Collision Warning , Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) with Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Adaptive Cruise Control. A rear seat reminder are also standard across the lineup.
The 2024 Honda Ridgeline will be built at Honda’s Lincoln, Alabama auto plant. It should be arriving in dealers lots this winter.
The bottom line
The Ridgeline has been a surprise hit for Honda and they routinely sell a good amount of trucks each month. These slight tweaks should make it even more appealing to customers. Also, the focus on off-road should make it more competitive in a midsize market that is increasingly focused on that space.
