2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro teaser

You know Toyota is getting close to revealing the 2024 Tacoma when it pushes out a teaser a week. Since the end of March we’ve seen the Trailhunter, the iForce Max engine and some TRD Pro lighting details. Now, in a new Toyota USA Instagram post, we see the TRD Pro brakes, tires and shocks.

So, what does this new teaser show us? Let’s see.

Rear disc brakes

The current generation Tacoma and Tacoma TRD still have drum brakes at the rear, and assuming this is not some bizarro reversed image, we are seeing the rear wheels on this teaser. That means the 2024 Tacoma will get the more expensive disc brakes. We don’t know if this is just for the TRD model or if it will carry through all trims, but at least the model that needs them most will get them.

Falken Wildpeak all-terrain tires?

The other thing we can’t help but notice is the beefy all-terrain tires on the 2024 Tacoma teaser image. Though the name of the tire is slightly obscured, we think we can make out “Wildpeak,” which makes sense since big bro Tundra TRD Pro is equipped with Falken Wildpeak all-terrains.

Fox off-road shocks

The second image clearly shows Fox internal bypass shocks with Quick Switch Technology (QS3), which have been made specifically for the 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro. But due to the close-up nature of the shot, we don’t get a lot of other details. We do know the current Tacoma TRD Pro and the new Tundra TRD Pro get the 2.5-inch-diameter Fox Internal Bypass shocks. So, draw your own conclusions.

What to expect from the 2024 Toyota Tacoma

While the teasers are curious, here’s what (we think) we know about the 2024 Toyota Tacoma. It’ll have:

All of this is based on educated guesses and spy photos.

The bottom line

We expect several more teasers to pop out via Instagram and formal press releases, and if you are on 2024 Tacoma Teaserpalooza watch, your best bet to get a first look? You guessed it: Taco Tuesday.
