As GM ramps up production, we see the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado price is increasing before it hits the lots! Yep, just a few months after the pricing was first announced, they are going up again.
The 2022 Chevy Silverado refresh (not to be confused with the LTD version, which has last year’s styling with this year’s number) will feature a new dash layout, a returned 2.7-liter engine, a new ZR2 model and the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving tech for the High Country trim.
We first learned of the initial increased pricing two months ago, and now it seems those prices, like everything else these days, are going up.
What is the new 2022 Chevy Silverado price?
The new starting prices are as follows via the Chevy Silverado configurator for each trim with a 2WD configuration (unless it’s a 4WD-only model) and including destination is as follows:
- WT:Â $35,495
- Custom:Â $42,495
- LT:Â $46,570
- Custom Trail Boss:Â $50,395
- RST:Â $50,770
- LTZ:Â $55,520
- LT Trail Boss:Â $56,170
- High Country:Â $60,620
- ZR2:Â $69,615
The increases are rather modest for most trims. However, yikes at the Chevy Silverado ZR2 starting at $69,615. Tack on a few options, and it is a mid to late $70ks truck all day long. Heck, with dealer markups right now, the new Silverado ZR2 could easily hit the $90k range real quick.
You can expect the High Country to follow a similar pattern as the ZR2 once you opt for the engine upgrades.
The bottom line on the 2022 Chevy Silverado price
Everything is getting more expensive thanks to inflation and the fluctuating gas prices. With the Federal Reserve doing what it can to tame inflation and the Ukraine invasion still sparking lots of market uncertainty, we don’t expect these prices to suddenly drop. Plus, we don’t see big incentives coming anytime soon as well. The simple fact is, if you want a new Chevy Silverado, be prepared to pay the stated price. Or more.
