GMC's record prices

Though this episode of the Livestream was a bit more freeform, the truck talk started off with a conversation about GMC’s record prices, which were revealed in a media briefing this week. Without giving away too many details (watch the episode!), the average transaction price for a GMC — trucks and SUVs — was $59,111. When you look into the Denali sub-brand, that’s where you really see GMC’s record prices in play.

The bulk of the episode was used to dig into a few viewer emails Esterdahl has received recently, including one that shows off some shoddy build quality of a Ram Rebel — it was so bad that the viewer refused to accept delivery. Another topic of conversation? Slide-in campers. We’re trying to get to the bottom of a curious sticker in the glove box of most 1500 trucks that says you can’t use a slide-in camper with that trim. We’ve already published one video, but we’re waiting for actual answers before posting a follow up.

There was also a challenge issued that had Ciminillo wearing an Irish green winter hat for the end of the episode.

Ciminillo and Esterdahl rounded out the episode with a look at what’s on the website, including a potential Nissan electric truck, leaked photos of the 2024 Toyota Tacoma, the Ford Mustang Mach-E price drop, Dodge Dakota rumors and a small GM truck concept that could mean there’s one in the works.

Esterdahl and Ciminillo do weekly livestreams on YouTube, which are projected out to Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. In 2023, they are switching to a Monday/Tuesday schedule at 8 p.m. EST, so be sure to subscribe to the YouTube channel and follow them on social media for the upcoming live episode timing and topics. You can also catch the episode as a podcast on all your favorite podcasting software — just search for Pickup Truck + SUV Talk.
