Leitner Designs Police Package Co-Developed with Police Department
The system was co-developed with the Placentia Police Department to endure the harsh conditions of daily police duty. Built entirely in the United States, the Police Package is based on Leitner’s Active Cargo System (ACS) FORGED bed rack, a lightweight yet heavy-duty solution designed for maximum durability and utility.
Law enforcement pickup trucks are among the hardest-working vehicles on the road, frequently subjected to extreme use. To meet these demands, the ACS FORGED was tested to withstand 4.0g of lateral and longitudinal force—far beyond the less-than-1.0g typically generated in emergency braking. It can safely carry a 400-pound load at 4.0g and up to 800 pounds at 1.0g.
Durability Meets Versatility
Weighing just 85 pounds thanks to forged aluminum construction, the ACS FORGED is rated for 1,400 pounds of static load and 800 pounds of dynamic load, making it the highest payload-rated modular rack system in the industry. Its modular design allows for quick customization, while patented GearPOD storage systems, lockable compartments, and a sliding rear load bar provide secure and efficient access to police gear.
Placentia Police Captain Brian Perry confirmed the rack’s performance under duty conditions. “When it comes to police vehicles, we need gear that is going to last,” Perry said. “After several months of severe duty, I can confidently say that not only has the ACS FORGED held up, it made police work easier.”
Complete Package for Agencies
The Police Package includes the ACS FORGED bed rack, standard GearPOD, extra-large GearPOD XL, HydroPOD water system, and the HeadBANGER guard to prevent cargo from damaging rear cab glass. Additional accessories such as universal light and antenna brackets make it compatible with common law enforcement equipment, including sirens and emergency lighting.

Custom black fasteners — The grade 10.9 fasteners are especially designed and manufactured
just for the ACS FORGED. The Black Zi-Ni coating is the toughest on the market and each bolt is
