Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2020-2022 CR-V Hybrid vehicles. For this Honda recall, the 12-Volt battery cable routed outside of the body frame is missing a fuse on the power circuit, which can allow the battery cable to short circuit or overheat during a crash.

An overheated battery cable or short circuit can increase the risk of a fire or injury in a crash.

Dealers will replace the battery cable, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed January 29, 2024. Owners may contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Honda’s number for this recall is FGB.

If you own one of the vehicles affected by the Honda recall, be sure to consult the NHTSA recalls portion of the website and type in the specific VIN of your vehicle to see if this current recall applies to your vehicle.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
