Katzkin ExpreSew

When it comes to classic cars and trucks, it is often hard to find a good, quality seat. Fortunately, our friends at Katzkin ExpreSew are now tackling this issue using their expertise. The results are amazing.

Our 1962 Chevy C-10 “Swede” is a family truck I’ve been working on becoming a much better daily driver. A good, comfortable seat is one of those must haves and Katzkin was at the top of my list.

This new offering from Katzkin aims to create a quality replacement seat cover and not just a cheap, mail-order variety I’ve used a few years ago.

I took that cheap seat cover and sent it Katzkin for them to match the size and seat style.

After some back and forth with the design team, I eagerly awaited the result and wow was it amazing.

Then, I installed the seat back into the truck securing it to the truck cab.

At first glance, the seat cover looked so good, I wasn’t sure I wanted to sit on it! Then, I got over it and sat for the first time. It was literally like sitting on a high-end sofa. Yeah, its that good! Much better than our 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 as a matter of fact.

When Katzkin told me about this new ExpreSew offering, I jumped at the chance to get a seat done. Not only is Katzkin a leader in custom upholstery, I’ve admired their work for years. Finding a new classic truck seat cover is nearly impossible and I predict Katzkin could be very busy with this endeavor.
