What happens when truck owners compare new models of the Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, Ram 1500 and Toyota Tundra to determine the best new truck? They come away with one winner.
I recently had the unique chance to have these four trucks at one time. Instead of me doing yet another comparison, I thought it would be far more interesting to grab two of my friends to evaluate the interior and exteriors of these new trucks. Their frank analysis of the trucks is refreshing.
What Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra did we compare for best new truck?
For this comparison, I had four of the leading trucks to compare.
First, the 2022 Toyota Tundra Limited was still in my possession from when I bought it for the channel last year.
Next, the 2023 Chevy Silverado High County with the 3.0L LZ0 Duramax diesel is the new truck I bought for the channel this year.
Then there was the 2022 Ram 1500 Limited, which was a 7-day media test vehicle used for reviews.
Finally, the 2023 Ford F-150 Heritage Edition was another media test vehicle.
The trucks ranged from $59,525 to $78,770 and came in a variety of trims from XLT to higher trimmed Limited and High Country trims.
Payload spanned from 1,256 pounds to 1,708 pounds while all the trucks could tow more 11,000 pounds.
Both reviewers have had different brands in their lives and used their life experiences to evaluate each of the trucks.
The bottom line
Who won? Who lost? Which one is the best new truck? That’s up for debate. Check out the video below and see which one stands out for you.

Really no test ride just a sit and look opinion. You buy a truck to tow and bottom line no replacement for displacement twin turbos got out harder on transmissions etc. V-8 if you want a real truck not a Honda pilot.

Tim,
You nailed it. Good to get an unbiased look 😉 Just kidding!!
This is exactly what I have been watching for on your channel. Your overview piece and their thoughts just from another perspective.
You really did a great job on this video (everyone on your channel does) which is your standard anyway. Thanks for putting it together!

Interesting to me because I would have not guessed the features that they liked/valued.
