Mystery numbers, Brazil patent office? 2024 Toyota Tacoma reveal date?

Another day, another teaser image and a possible 2024 Toyota Tacoma reveal date? This latest image, also revealed on the Toyota USA instagram account, is more distinct than the one we discussed yesterday, and it offers several distinctive clues.

Before we get into the new clues, let’s be clear a new 2024 Toyota Tacoma is going to be revealed soon with a host of expected changes.

2024 Toyota Tacoma reveal date?

The big tease from the images you can see in the instagram post is the date and the Brazilan patent office.

For the date, you can clearly make out 040423 on the license plate, and like the Tundra teasers, numbers matter for these teasers. With the Tundra, the phone in the wireless charger had a date on it, 9/19. This turned out to be the date the Tundra was unveiled.

Second, the Brazillian patent office is legible as the sign on the building in the background. This matches up with a leaked patent photo that had been circulating online. What does this mean? Either that patent image is accurate or Toyota is poking fun at the supposed leak.

On the post, if you look closely, you can see a blurred-out image of what appears to be a silver truck in the background. This blurry image shows the front-end, and while I theorize it is similar to the Sequoia front end, see video below, we still can’t quite make out what it is going to be in its final form.

This is the second set of teaser images from Toyota with the first one we covered yesterday.

What to expect from the 2024 Toyota Tacoma

While the teasers are curious, here’s what (we think) we know about the 2024 Toyota Tacoma. It’ll have:

• One, if not two, hybrid powertrains.
• A coil-link suspension like the Tundra.
• A vastly upgraded and tech-forward interior.
• Strong Tundra styling cues, including the grille mustache.

All of this is based on educated guesses and spy photos.

The bottom line

With each new teaser image our excitement keeps building and I can’t wait until all the final details are out. Will it be everything I need it to be or will it be a disappointment? That remains to be seen.
