At the 2023 Chicago Auto Show, Toyota revealed the 2024 Grand Highlander, and we were best with questions on social media about how it compared to other vehicles in the Toyota lineup — namely the Sequoia and Sienna.
So, we did a quick video looking at the three vehicles, talking about some of the features and showing how the cargo space stacks up.
Is the Toyota Grand Highlander better or worse?
Yes. We don’t want to give too much away because video, but the 2024 Grand Highlander has definite pluses – and minuses – over both vehicles. Since Grand Highlander is the newest vehicle in the Toyota lineup, it also has some interesting new features as well as a thoughtful third-row layout.
One thing to note: The third row of the Sequoia does slide, so you can trade cargo volume for passenger volume if you desire. Both the Sienna and Grand Highlander have second rows that slide, so the compromise is between second- and third-row passengers in those two vehicles.
So, is there a clear winner here? Maybe. But it could be there’s an interesting compromise as well.
