Kia Telluride Recall

Kia America, Inc. (Kia) is recalling certain 2023 Telluride vehicles. Due to a manufacturing error, this Kia Telluride recall pertains to the wire harness for the second row seat side airbags, which may become damaged, causing them not to deploy in the event of a crash.

Airbags that do not deploy as intended can increase the risk of injury in a crash.

Dealers will inspect and replace, or secure the air bag wire harnesses, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed February 28, 2023. Owners may contact Kia customer service at 1-800-333-4542. Kia’s number for this recall is SC262.

While previous model years have been recalled for a fire risk, at the time of posting this recall notice, the 2023 Kia Telluride currently has just this one recall. If you own a 2023 Kia Telluride be sure to consult the NHTSA recalls portion of the website and type in the specific VIN of your truck to see if this current recall applies to your vehicle.

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.
