Nissan debuted a refreshed Armada for the 2021 model year back in December, adding some cool standard tech features in addition to some design tweaks. Now we know the pricing.
We predicted Nissan would keep the Armada priced less than $50K, and we were right. Barely. The base price for the 2021 Armada, including destination, will be $49,895. That’s just $1k more than the 2020 model. And, considering all the new standard goodies, we can’t argue with the increase.

Full pricing, without destination, for the 2021 model is as follows:
- Armada S 4×2: $48,500
- Armada SV 4×2: $52,500
- Armada SL 4×2: $55,900
- Armada Platinum 4×2: $64,900
- Armada S 4×4: $51,500
- Armada SV 4×4: $55,500
- Armada SL 4×4: $58,900
- Armada Platinum 4×4: $67,900
Destination fee is $1,395. Another thing to note, while the 2021 Armada is hitting dealers right now, the base S trim is not. Nissan has stated this will have “late availability.” While we’re not exactly sure what that means, we’d hope that’s no later than this summer.
We previously covered the updates in another article, but some of the key highlights for 2021 include:
- An increase in power. The 5.6-liter V-8 has been retuned to deliver 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. But, to get these numbers you have to use premium fuel.
- Refreshed exterior design, featuring Nissan’s new logo on the grille.
- A new standard 12.3 inch infotainment screen.
- Standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with wireless charging.
- Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 is now standard.
The bottom line on the 2021 Armada
This full-size SUV is mean to to compete with the likes of the Chevrolet Tahoe ($50,295) and Ford Expedition ($51,835). Though we haven’t driven this refreshed model yet, we liked the previous iteration, so we imagine we’ll like this one, too.
At the time of posting this article, the 2021 Armada was not available on the Nissan USA configurator, but we imagine it will be there shortly. So, right now, we don’t have any details on the trim feature breakdown.

I wonder when they and if they will upgrade the transmission to the 9 speed. I assume its a cost cutting thing. Nissan will be back-but the pain of mismanagement will take a while to recover.
