E.C.D. Automotive Design, known for their prestigious, high-end luxury vehicles, has come up with its own ‘all-American’ variant of the Land Rover Defender 100 that E.C.D. calls “mammoth.”
Standing 7-foot-four-inches tall, this behemoth slathered in Liquid Silver Metallic paint is powered by a 340-horsepower 5.3-liter LC9 V8 engine that rumbles with a Borla Performance exhaust.
For as tall as it is, this Defender only has a 2-inch lift over the stock ride height. That’s enough to let it run 37″Â Maxxis M-8060 Trepador Mud Terrain tires at all four corners, which are wrapped around 16-inch beadlock wheels.
This Defender might be from the 1990s. The inside is anything but. It has Corbeau RRS seats in the front and middle row; Bench seats in the rear load area—all wrapped in Envy Umber and Super-soft Black leathers.
There might be a new Defender coming. But this E.C.D. Defender 110 shows that there is no lack of passion for the last-gen truck. Hopefully, the new one will be able to get close to matching the bad-ass-ery of the original.
