2023 Chevy Silverado HD

This week we’re looking ahead to see what kinds of changes may be coming for the 2023 Chevy Silverado HD trucks. GM has already announced the 2022 Silverado HD and the 2022 Silverado 1500, so these photos are going to be from the 2023 trucks.

Publisher Tim Esterdahl got his hands on some spy photos and he’s here to speculate and discuss.

2023 Chevy Silverado HD changes

In the past, the Silverado HD has received a bit of criticism for its bulky front end and poor interior. Since we’ve seen the updates to the 1500 trucks, we’re hoping a lot of them are translated to the HD trucks as well.

From the spy photos, we can see that the headlight placement is changing. We don’t really know what the lights will look like, but it’s pretty obvious the stacked design is going away, and the lights will be lower. This should help to bring those lights down and provide better illumination on the road. The horizontal bar that has Chevrolet spelled out looks closer to the hood, and a bowtie has been added below that.

Overall, the updated grille looks clean with nice horizontal lines.

Interior updates to match the Silverado 1500?

It’s been a long time since the heavy-duty trucks have gotten an interior update. We’re still seeing massive trucks with tiny little screens and a very plastic utilitarian dash. Since the light-duty trucks have been updated for 2022, we are hoping to see some of the same updates on the 2023 Chevy Silverado HD. These would include the large integrated infotainment screen, the digital driver’s display and the optional console shifter on the higher trim levels.

What do you think of these spy photos? Do you see anything we’ve missed?
