Boy is it a good day when things like this land in our inboxes because then we get to share them with you. Publisher Tim Esterdahl received some real goodies this week in the form of 2022 Tundra interior photos snagged by a spy photographer. Check out the video below to see for yourself.
What we know so far
Leading up to the launch of the 2022 Tundra expected early this fall, Toyota has offered multiple sneak-peeks in the form of videos and images. First, we had this mysterious grille photo. And not long after that a picture of a new engine that hints at a Tundra hybrid. And of course, we’ve shared spy photos of the 2022 Toyota Tundra exterior.
Spy photographers are pretty good about getting photos of the outsides of vehicles, but sneaking pictures of the insides of vehicles is another thing altogether. Our guy managed to get some pictures of the new nav screen and dash and it looks like some exciting changes are coming.
Bonus
We spy a console-mounted gear selector which means Toyota has kept that for the 2022 Tundra and has not opted to go for a dash-mounted dial or buttons like some of the other brands. We know this is a big deal for pickup truck owners so we were excited to see that returning!
Just check out the size of that screen! And let us know what you think of the unique air vent configuration. Do you think this is a prototype configuration or something we’ll be seeing on the production models coming later this fall?
