A large recall has been announced impacting 123,396 2022-2024 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagonneer vehicles due to window trim flying off. There is no remedy at this time.
2022-2024 Jeep Wagoneer, Grand Wagoneer Recall
The recall impacts vehicles prior to February 29, 2024 when it was discovered they were missing the clear primer application.

Descriptive Information:
Some 2022-2024 MY Jeep Wagoneer and Jeep Grand Wagoneer vehicles may have been built with a quarter window trim which may detach from the vehicle.
The suspect vehicle population began on March 8, 2021, when the 2022 MY vehicle production began, and ended on February 29, 2024, when vehicles were no longer being shipped with quarter window trim that was missing the clear primer application. Vehicle production and engineering change records were used to determine the suspect period.
Similar vehicles not included in this recall were built after the suspect period.
Identification of any warning that can occur:
Customers may notice that the quarter window trim has started to separate from the vehicle.
Remedy
The remedy is currently under development. Interim notification letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed November 14, 2025. Additional letters will be sent once the final remedy is available. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA’s number for this recall is 88C. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning October 2, 2025.
Chronology
On May 29, 2025, the FCA US LLC (“FCA US”) Technical Safety and Regulatory Compliance
(“TSRC”) organization opened an investigation into some 2022 – 2024 MY Jeep Wagoneer and
Grand Wagoneer vehicles that may have been built with a rear quarter window trim which may
detach from the vehicle and create a road hazard.
From May 2025, through August 2025, FCA US TSRC, Engineering and Manufacturing, worked in
partnership to determine the suspect population of vehicles affected through analysis of supplier
plant build records.
As of September 15, 2025, FCA US is aware of 3 customer assistance records, 1,710 warranty
claims, one field report, and 40 other service records potentially relating to this issue for all
markets with dates of receipt ranging from July 6, 2022, to August 22, 2025.
As of September 15, 2025, FCA US is not aware of any accidents or injuries potentially related to
this issue for all markets.
On September 18, 2025, FCA US determined, through the Vehicle Regulations Committee, that a
safety defect potentially exists in certain vehicles.
