- Locking differentials
- Underbody skid protection
Built in just five months, this high-performance EV is designed to conquer the toughest landscapes with state-of-the-art technology.

Off-Road Capabilities
At the heart of the Silverado EV ZR2 race truck’s performance is the prototype Multimatic Adaptive Spool Valve (ASV) continuously adaptive dampers, providing over 13 inches of front and rear wheel travel for better off-road control.
Additional highlights include:
- 37-inch BF Goodrich KM3 Mud-Terrain tires
- Tri-motor electric propulsion system, delivering a staggering 1,100 horsepower and 11,500 lb-ft of torque

The Future: Silverado EV Trail Boss
The Silverado EV ZR2 race truck concept’s debut comes ahead of the 2026 Silverado EV Trail Boss launch this summer. This first-ever off-road-focused Silverado EV will feature:
- Factory-installed lift
- 18-inch wheels with 35-inch all-terrain tires
- Red tow hooks
- New Terrain Mode for enhanced maneuverability in tight spaces
More details on the Silverado EV Trail Boss will be released soon.
Our take
More proof of concept testing from GM should help ease the minds of some consumers about the amount of testing they have done on a new model. Now this just leaves the bigger question on what equipment will the 2026 Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss get and how much will it cost.
